Annette Himstedt

Annette Himstedt is a world renown German doll artists. She pioneered  more natural, relaxed realistic poses for her dolls. They are like children at play with bent arms and fingers. Somehow she manages to capture movement in her poses. No longer like manequins, her dolls seem so much more realistic. She often uses photographs of children she encounters during her world wide travels (with their permission) as models for new doll creations. Her dolls represent a wide variety of ethnicities and nationalities.  Annette closed her doll manufactory in 2008. Since then, the demand for her unique limited edition dolls has continued to grow. Her dolls retail from several hundred to thousands of dollars......
